Photogrammetry Industry Roundtable Discussion

Over breakfast this morning, the Intergraph Z/I Imaging team led an informal roundtable discussion on trends and issues facing the photogrammetric industry. Topics included trends in digital sensor technology, software productivity, and industry dynamics. Many ideas and suggestions were shared on how to advance the process of delivering quality photogrammetric products to the end-user. Smart Grid Planning and Implementation with Intergraph Technology

 

This panel of smart grid experts from across North America featured differing utility perspectives, challenges, and approaches to planning and implementing smart grid projects, providing attendees with guidance and ideas on planning a smart grid within their organization. Several Intergraph technology end-users provided lessons learned through their own projects on different aspects of smart grid, including project types, budgeting, and how Intergraph technology supports their particular approach to smart grid automation. Panel topics included the command-and-control center; communication network strategies; and integrating OMS, DMS, WFM, and other components of the smart grid. The Capitol Steps Entertains Attendees at Intergraph 2009 Conference

 

Never has U.S. politics been as funny as it was last night at Intergraph 2009’s “Evening on the Potomac” event. This comedy troupe, featured on numerous U.S. primetime news and entertainment shows, had attendees splitting their sides with laughter after they enjoyed a delicious sit-down dinner and live music.

Real-life Examples of Worldwide Spatial Data Infrastructures Shared Yesterday

Chief architect George Percivall with the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) led a discussion yesterday afternoon on how spatial data infrastructure (SDI) technology is benefiting government agencies around the world. Joining Mr. Percivall were Peter Dvoracek with the Czech Republic Land Survey Office; Manuel Gallego with SITGA-Xunta de Galicia, Spain; and Arco Groothedde with Kadaster, Netherlands. Each gentleman provided real-life examples of how Intergraph SDI technology is being used in his area to further public geospatial collaboration and distribution and instill OGC standards.
