Public Safety’s “Petting Zoo” Provides Firsthand Look at New Technology

 

Public safety and security representatives from around the world are taking advantage of Intergraph’s Public Safety Technical Open House, where they can view demonstrations on an array of Intergraph software, including new products and enhancements and new releases of existing solutions. Attendees can also schedule one-on-one demo sessions to get up close and personal with specific solutions. Intergraph Deploys Integrated Transportation Security System at Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Facilities

Intergraph has successfully deployed a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to enhance safety and security efforts at Ronald Reagan Washington National and Washington Dulles International Airports.  By integrating multiple security systems at National and Dulles, Intergraph’s CAD system significantly improves the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) ability to expedite the process for dispatching emergency assistance at both airports. 

“Intergraph’s integrated transportation security technologies provide airports, seaports and transit agencies with the ability to prevent, assess, detect and respond to incidents that may threaten the safety and security of passengers and personnel,” said Brig. Intergraph Debuts New Version of Public Safety and Security Incident Response Management Offerings to Accelerate 9-1-1 Response

Intergraph, the world leader in public safety and security incident response management solutions, has introduced the latest version of its software with new standard-setting interoperability, next-generation mobile, and map incorporation capabilities.
 
Intergraph I/CAD version 9.0 promotes interoperability and information sharing to advance situational awareness for optimized emergency response, and streamlines the 9-1-1 dispatch process through usability enhancements. Public Safety International Users' Group Meeting Held Yesterday Evening

 

Public safety users’ group representatives from around the world met yesterday evening to discuss relevant issues affecting its regions, as well as current and future activities planned throughout the remainder of the year.

Richmond, Va. and Intergraph First to Automate Security Alarm 9-1-1 Calls

The City of Richmond, Va. and Intergraph are the first to automate the transmission of security alarm alerts directly to the appropriate public safety answering point’s (PSAP) Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and reduce response time by at least two to three minutes, saving precious time and lives.

Richmond’s two-year pilot External Alarm Interface Exchange project, incorporating Intergraph public safety incident management and reporting solutions, eliminated approximately 6,000 telephone calls from residential and commercial security companies. This reduction means more efficient utilization of 9-1-1 call-taker resources in the PSAP. Click here for full release.

Various U.S. Public Safety Users' Group Meeting Held This Evening

Public safety users’ group representatives from across the United States met today to discuss relevant issues affecting its area, as well as current and future activities planned throughout the remainder of the year.

UCC Site Tours Enjoyed by All Who Attended

Conference attendees who participated in the three site tours to D.C.’s Unified Communications Center (UCC) today left there impressed. This $116 million center manages the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department, Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, and the Mayor's Citywide Call Center all under one roof. Attendees experienced its integration of personnel, equipment, and technology firsthand, and saw how Intergraph’s CAD and mobile technology plays a key part in managing incoming emergency calls and responding to incidents. Sandy Hoeflich with Toronto Fire Services, " The UCC tour was very good and informative. Their integrated approach to 9-1-1, fire, and EMS was interesting. Overall, the tour was very useful."
